Beyond the Donation: The Eternal Impact of Supporting Adoption

Aaron and Monica talked often about adopting,

but the associated adoption fees seemed daunting. They believed God was calling them to grow their family through adoption—but the cost felt like a closed door.

Aaron shares—

A friend of ours wisely counseled that, while money is an important consideration, it is not the most important one. This set our course in the right direction, and through God’s grace, we were eventually introduced to Lifesong.

Lifesong came alongside us in our adoption journey and provided some much needed financial help. I believe that the strong desire for adoption, which many Christian families feel, comes from God and is an expression of His own love for these children.

The generous people who support Lifesong have, in a very real way, become selfless facilitators of God’s love toward our child.

Adoption fundraisers are easy to misunderstand.

To some, it might look like another GoFundMe link or a t-shirt sale. Another couple trying to raise another sum of money for another big goal. But behind every bake sale, puzzle piece, silent auction, or grant application is something far deeper than logistics and line items.

Adoption is a calling, a mission, a battle for a child’s future.

So raising money for adoption isn’t just about funding a process. It’s about fighting for a person in need of family.

Every dollar raised is a declaration that a child is worth the effort, the inconvenience, and the collective support of the Body of Christ. It’s a way of saying, “You matter to us. Even before we know your name.”

What happens when you support an adoption?

You may not always see the outcome. You may never know the names or faces. But make no mistake: your gift to support an adopting family can echo into generations you’ll never meet. Into lives that will bear fruit long after you’re gone.

Because giving to support an adoption isn’t just about helping a child come home. It’s about participating in the kind of redemption story that only God can write.

At Lifesong, we’ve seen it time and time again. A single yes from a generous heart opens the door for a family to say yes to a child. That child becomes a son, a daughter. That family becomes a light in their community. And one life at a time, God builds legacies—out of brokenness, with courage, through faith.

Aaron and Monica’s son, Isaac

To every giver, prayer warrior and supporter,

thank you. You may never see the ripple effect of your generosity, but families like Aaron and Monica’s are living proof that it’s real.

As Aaron recently shared—

I want to reiterate to the donors at Lifesong that you are making an eternal impact, and that your mission—to see children taught the Gospel, have their needs met, and be granted a foundation for future service to God—is at least in a small way being accomplished through our adoption of Isaac.

Here at Lifesong, we’re humbled to play a small part in stories like Aaron and Monica’s. And we know it is made possible by givers like you. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus.
