Building a Home Where Jesus Is Welcome
The work we do in Haiti to provide vulnerable families with safe and secure homes is impacting the next generation. As families are blessed by God’s provision, their children learn by example. They witness their family being cared for, they see their family’s faith grow, and they learn to give thanks to God. All good gifts come from Him.

Maxoul and his four siblings grew up just a wall away from the local church.
Their house was next door to the place in their community where Christians would gather to worship. Even when they weren’t at church, they could hear the voices of those who were. Maxoul shares—
“Every service, every rehearsal, every prayer and song of praise could be heard.”
It was a constant reminder that Jesus is impacting lives.
Maxoul was blessed with faithful Christian parents who attended church regularly. They joyfully brought their children with them and taught them the Gospel too. When he was old enough, they also sent him to primary and secondary school. He graduated from high school, a rare opportunity for children in Haiti.
Through many blessings, God revealed His faithfulness to Maxoul.
Years later, Maxoul is a grown man with a wife and four children. He works as a campus manager for a ministry in Haiti, and though his salary is enough to provide food and education for his family, it doesn’t come close to covering the cost of a safe and secure home.

So at the end of 2024, Maxoul and his family were nominated to receive a home, built by our team at Welcome Home Haiti. Our team was thrilled to bless his family, especially in light of Maxoul’s Gospel-driven commitment to serving others.
Now, instead of feeling helpless, Maxoul is empowered to provide for them.
As they invite the Lord into their new home, thanking Jesus for all He has done, his family rejoices and is filled with hope for their future.
