Expanding Kharis House to Reach 3 Times as Many Young Mothers in Zambia
One in three girls ages 13-16 become pregnant in Zambia,
causing many to be expelled from school with little hope of completing their education. Without intervention, these young mothers face a future of poverty and limited opportunities. And many see abortion as the only answer to finishing their schooling.
Thousands of young pregnant teens are culturally discarded without hope or support.
That’s why our team at Kharis House is expanding to reach 3 times as many young mothers.
Roydah is one of the mothers our team serves. She came to Kharis House when she was just 15 years old, pregnant, and without hope. She shares—

Our current campus serves 12 girls and 12 babies at maximum capacity. But each day, we receive more urgent requests from schools, churches, and organizations seeking help for pregnant teens. Recently, one school, alone, reached out with 34 pregnant 7th graders needing immediate support.
Our vision is to expand and build a campus so that we can accept more girls into our program.
