Here at Lifesong, we believe every month is adoption awareness month.
But we’re grateful November has been recognized nationally as National Adoption Awareness Month! Whether or not you have been personally impacted by adoption, here are 3 ways you can make this month impactful—
1. Spread awareness.
Beginning Friday, November 1, we’ll share stories, photos, and quotes daily from several important perspectives of adoption. If you’re on Facebook, and/or Instagram, follow along (and feel free to add your own thoughts and experiences to the conversation!) If you post something on your social media about adoption, feel free to tag us.
We’d love to hear what you think!
2. Encourage somebody.
Know someone who’s been personally touched by adoption? Why not reach out and send a note of gratitude or encouragement for their story? Or if you know of a family who is in process or recently brought a child home, why not do something to help?
One powerfully impactful step you could take in November is to start an Adoption Fund at your church. It’s easier than you think. We’ll help—and it’s free.
3. Give to make more adoptions possible.
Did you know that 38% of practicing Christians have seriously considered adoption, but only 5% have actually adopted? One major obstacle is adoption funding. The costs associated with adoption can be overwhelming. If you aren’t currently saving for an adoption, would you give a gift this month to help someone else bring a child home?
Money should never be the reason a child doesn’t have a family.
Let’s make November and Adoption Awareness Month impactful for kids in need!
