Our ministry in Ethiopia works closely with local leaders to serve orphaned and vulnerable children in the Ziway and Adami Tulu communities.
Ethiopia remains one of the most educationally disadvantaged countries in the world. Many children can’t attend local schools due to financial constraints. Only 54% of students continue past Grade 8. Providing quality education is one of the most effective ways to empower orphans and vulnerable children in Ethiopia.

Why We Serve in Ethiopia
In Ethiopia there are more than 5.6 million orphans. Additionally, in recent years, Ethiopia has survived severe drought which destroyed food supplies for its nearly 96 million citizens. Today, nearly 50,000 children are malnourished, and many families are unable to meet their most basic needs. As a result, many children are sent to orphanages or left to fend for themselves on the streets.

What We Strive to Provide to Every Child We Serve
Our belief in God and His grace in our lives energizes us for a specific work. With God’s help, every child we serve will be taught the gospel and how to be followers of Christ, not want for food, shelter, medical care, and clothing, receive a quality education to provide a foundation for their future, and have access to continued love and support while transitioning into adult living.
Key Areas of Ministry in Ethiopia
Discipleship
Each morning on each school campus, we have a time of prayer and reading the Bible. The students are also assigned Bible verses to read before coming to school. We offer ethics courses where students learn Biblical principles.
Education
We provide high quality education across three school campuses. We educate students from infancy through eighth grade.
Nutrition
Each student receives two nutritious meals every school day. The food they receive improves their overall health and provides the energy they need to be alert in the classroom, so they can receive a high-quality education.
Safe Homes
Our home for vulnerable children currently houses boys and girls. They are matched with Ethiopian parents who provide them with a loving, secure family environment. Each child also receives medical care and education.
Working Together With
