Funding the Adoption Journey: One Family’s Story

Money should never be the reason a child doesn’t have a family.

However, here at Lifesong, we understand that the adoption journey can be filled with financial hurdles, deterring many well-intentioned families from adopting.

But we refuse to let finances stand in the way of a child growing up in a loving home.

So through adoption financial assistance—like matching grants, interest-free loans, and adoption crowdfunding pages—we help bridge the gap in adoption fundraising.

Specifically, by removing financial barriers, we seek to empower families to focus on what truly matters, providing love, care, and support to a child in need.

Above all, we want children to know they belong.

Since 2002—through the faithful support of givers and partners—we have supported nearly 10,500 children with adoption and post-adoption financial assistance.

Darin and Lois are a beautiful example of a family who were able to adopt with the help of adoption support.

“When we first felt God leading us to adopt, we knew it’d be a journey of deeper trust in Him. But after months of praying and seeking His direction, we knew this was the path He had chosen for us.

So the way we saw God provide for our adoption journey through Lifesong’s matching grant was incredible. Within a few hours, we were given the funds needed to receive the matching grant. This felt like such a gift. The cost of adoption was something that we knew God would need to take care of for us.

God has continued to provide for us in so many unexpected ways. The prayers, encouragement, and support we’ve received have been an answer to our prayers in bringing home our children through adoption.

Seeing God provide for us financially has been incredible. We now have two adopted children. Through Lifesong and other financial gifts we received, both of our adoptions have been fully paid for.”
